1. Who are we?

YBFilters is an authorised K&N dealer based in the UK. We only sell brand new genuine K&N products direct from K&N. We are mail order specialists and have been selling K&N since 2003. We have the experience and expertise to offer the best possible service to all our customers.

2. Who are K&N?

K&N Engineering, of Riverside, California, is the inventor and leading innovator of reusable cotton gauze filter technology for automotive applications. From humble beginnings as a family run business over 35 years ago, K&N Engineering, now a truly global company with offices in the U.K. and the Netherlands, continues to exist as a family owned business with an enthusiast mindset and a direct connection with motor sports that carries over throughout all levels of management and manufacturing.

Today, K&N exists as both the sales and brand leader for performance filters, and maintains a stocking catalogue of over 3,500 part numbers, including an extensive line of both factory replacement drop-in filters, FIPK (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) applications, and its line of innovative Performance Gold oil filters.

3. How do I know what K&N product I should buy for my vehicle?

K&N manufacture a massive range of filtration products for almost every major automotive application. Their stock, product range and applications are unbeatable. We are confident the K&N range will offer a suitable product for your vehicle. The best way to choose a product is to just search our site with the search engine as this will show all the available K&N part numbers for your specific application. You can then choose what item(s) you would like to order. 4. How do I know what K&N product is suitable for me?

K&N Replacement Air Filter: This is a direct replacement for your standard air filter. They fit inside the standard air box. They are designed to increase power and acceleration. K&N Induction & Air Intake Kits: These kits are designed to replace the complete standard O.E air intake assembly including the air filter. By fitting a more efficient performance orientated K&N air intake system, your engine will produce more power. K&N systems are dyno tested to ensure they produce reliable power gains. They include all the parts needed, and installation is a quick and easy process. With a K&N system fitted you will notice a deeper induction sound when accelerating. K&N Oil Filters: K&N high flow performance oil filters are designed to meet the needs of modern high revving engines. 5. Are K&N products easy to fit and how do I do it?

The answer is yes! All K&N products are easy to fit, and can usually be fitted by yourself with only basic tools and mechanical knowledge needed. Replacing your air filter is a quick and easy process. Just locate your airbox in the engine bay and replace your old grotty air filter with the flash new K&N one. Fitting an induction/intake Kit sound complicated? No chance! K&N air intake systems are easy to install. A typical installation can be done with a screwdriver, pliers and a ratchet-set in 90 minutes or less! K&N specifically engineer their kits to use existing factory holes and mounting points, making installation simple. The vast majority of K&N cold air intakes do NOT require any cutting or drilling. All kits include full colour instructions and necessary hardware.

6. Why buy K&N from us?

With direct links to K&N in the UK and USA, we can quickly check stock and order any obscure items that we do not carry in stock. We offer a fast efficient mail order service and most popular items are delivered within a few days in the UK.

7. Why are we cheaper than most other places?

We cut out the middle men! When you buy from us you can be sure your K&N product has come direct from the factory and straight to your door. We offer a very competitive postage rate to the UK and overseas.

8. How do you buy off our website?

We have made this process very simple! You can pay by credit or debit card using the hugely popular online payment system PAYPAL. This is the most secure payment system currently available on the internet so it is a very safe way of paying. To pay by PAYPAL all you need to do is add the items to the basket, and click the "Pay Now" button to check out, then simply follow the PAYPAL instructions. You do not need a PAYPAL account to pay for the items.

9. How do I change or remove an order from my shopping basket?

If you would like to remove an item from your basket simply tick the box and click update. The same process applies to changing the quantity of any item.

10. How do I cancel a completed order?

Cancellations are subject to our terms and conditions. You need to inform us by email within 7 days of the order date.

11. How soon do you send an order after payment has been received?

If your item is in stock it will be dispatched within 48 hours if you have paid by PAYPAL, but could be dispatched much sooner than that if it is in stock - subject to our 9am-5pm working hours Monday to Friday.

12. What if my item is not in stock?

Please be aware we carry large stocks of K&N for all vehicles, so if we havenít got it in stock the chances are no one else in the UK will have it either! If your air filter is not in stock it means it will probably be on a back order from K&N waiting for delivery. In this case we will inform you of the back order status and an estimated delivery date. Some of the rare products that we donít sell often are ordered from K&N when an order comes in for one, if K&N have it in stock it will take a couple of days to arrive with us, before we can dispatch it to you.

13. How much is postage and packing?

Please use the shopping basket to find out the postage rate to your location. Add the items to your basket, then click on your country from the drop down list - this will show the postage cost and total price.

14. How is my item posted?

The smaller K&N products are sent by Royal Mail first class post/airmail. We use Parcel Force 24/48hr services in the UK, Euro48 service to Europe and Scheduled service to worldwide destinations for larger or high value items. We have online tracking facilities and proof of delivery receipts for courier deliveries, so you can be sure exactly where your order is at all times in transit.

15. How is my item packed?

Your item is treated with great care and attention, all K&N products are boxed, and then bagged, and all larger items are protected by strong boxes.

16. What should I do when the courier delivers my item?

This is very important! Before signing for your delivery off the courier, please check the box and contents to ensure they are not damaged. If they show any possible sign of damage please sign for the delivery as "damaged" or "unchecked". If you later discover your item has been damaged by the courier but you did not sign for it as damaged, then we cannot make a claim off the courier for the damaged goods. When you sign for the delivery, you are signing for as "accepted in good condition".

17. What if the item I ordered does not fit my car?

If you have used the search engines correctly then this shouldnít happen! However we understand that customers can sometimes make mistakes if they are unsure of their vehicle specification. If your item does not fit your vehicle please email us immediately on sales@ybfilters.co.uk with the K&N part number and your exact engine, model, specification and date of registration. We will investigate the item you bought and why it will not fit. We can then offer you an exchange or refund.

18. How do I return an item?

Please email us first to let us know why you are returning it, so we can solve any problems at this point. If you then need to return an item to us, please pack it carefully in the original box, undamaged and unused. Then send it to us at: YBFilter Returns, Gaghills Mill, Gaghills Road, Waterfoot, Lancashire BB4 9BB. The cheapest way to send it back is probably using Royal Mail Parcel Service at any Post Office that costs around ?3-10 for an average sized parcel. Please include your name, address, email, order reference and reason for return.

19. What is the best way of contacting you?

We are an internet based mail order firm so to contact us please email on websales@ybfilters.co.uk. We aim to answer all emails within 48 hours. Please provide as much information on your email as possible so we can answer your enquiry quickly and efficiently. Please be aware we are only available to reply to emails office hours Monday to Friday.
